In the early Spring, I painted this small section of Umatilla Rock en plein air at the Dry Falls State Park in northeastern Washington. The rocks gave me a sense of awe and wonder at the magnitude of the ice age floods that tumbled through the region many years ago. I was enlightened by the shadow cast by this magnificent formation.
This is currently available through the Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d’Alene for October 2025. If interested, please contact the gallery.
