As I prepared for the upcoming Sonoma California paintout, I realized that the beauty and terrain of nearby Red Mountain Viticulture Region had a similar quality to that of the California region with its upright trees, verdant vines and undulating hillsides. Located in Benton City, Washington, this beautiful property, Taptiel Vineyards, has recently sold to a west side Seattle vineyard. The owners are excited to make the transition happen. I am sure it is bittersweet time and so this painting will serve as a reminder for them of how they nurtured the land and produced world class wines.
