The Amon Basin waterway threads through a ribbon of natural areas amidst many housing developments on it's way to the Yakima River. This marshland is a wonderfully wild area, with many species of waterfowl, small rodents and animals. I've seen raccoon and deer foot prints, spotted blue herons resting in trees, watched many wood ducks, and the enjoyed the occasional otter playing among the marshes. Eastern Washington has many wonderful locations.
