I braked for this interesting cloud formation! We get a lot of wind in the late Winter, which helps to drive out the heavy oppressive cloud cover we get for most of the season. Glorious sunshine came in on this day - but alas, too windy to paint, so I chose to photograph instead. It made for a beautiful studio exploration of all the nuanced color in this cloud -- the lofty top portion stretched very high overhead and in the distance it was starting to rain onto Rattlesnake Mountain. The other two mountains in the Horse Heaven Hill chain line up below: Candy Mountain and Badger Mountain.
