Storm's a Brewin

In early spring, an abundance of large voluminous clouds
move through this region of eastern Washington.

Sometimes they skitter through quickly,
moved forcefully by the upper atmosphere winds,
traveling to areas in the northeast;

At other times their undersides are darker
and laden with rain that wants to shower the earth.
I'm insignificant below these majestic vaporous forms.
Standing with my pochade box,
I raise a brush to depict them as they roll on... 

a skill I'm constantly pursuing,

like trying to paint a fidgety puppy. 
But in my warm studio with a nice photograph,
they poise in mid-step, all fluff and glory

And I am happy.
